Festival season has arrived! Get your calendars handy because we’re sharing the best of Galena festivals you don’t want to miss this summer. From wine weekends to family-friendly festivities, summer is in full-swing and we couldn’t be more excited. If you haven’t booked a weekend summer getaway yet, now’s the time to do just that!

3RD ANNUAL CORKLESS IN GALENA
When: Saturday, June 24th from 12 – 7PM
Where: Depot Park | 91 North Bouthillier Street, Galena
What: Taste wines from Northern Illinois wineries while enjoying snacks from local businesses, a local art show and live music.

SHENANDOAH PRO RODEO
When: Saturday, July 1st and Sunday, July 2nd from 7:30 – 10:30PM
Where: Shenandoah Riding Center | 200 N Brodrecht Road, Galena
What: A pro rodeo competition featuring barrel racing and bull riding followed by fireworks. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to watch.

21ST ANNUAL GALENA INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
When: Tuesday, July 4th beginning at 3PM
Where: Main Street in Galena
What: Take part in the annual Fourth of July celebration organized by the Kiwanis Club of Galena. The day will feature live music, a community parade, food and drinks from local businesses and fireworks at dusk. NW ILLINOIS ART AND JAZZ FEST
When: Saturday, July 14th and Sunday, July 15th from 10AM – 5PM
Where: Stockton Memorial Park | US Highway 20 W and Pearl Street, Stockton
What: A few towns over from Galena, enjoy regional artists performing live jazz music while sipping on local wine and beer. The festival will feature over forty musicians as well as local artists, businesses and shops. The event is in conjunction with the 3rd annual BBQ competition held in the same location.

MARKET HOUSE SQUARE ARTS FESTIVAL
When: Saturday, August 5th and Sunday, August 6th from 10AM – 6PM
Where: Old Market House State Historic Site | 123 North Commerce Street, Galena
What: Local and regional artists showcase paintings, woodwork, jewelry and more at the outdoor festival. Enjoy live music from local musicians, food and drinks.

MIDWEST GARLIC FESTIVAL
When: Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th
Where: Terrapin Park | 300 West Street, Elizabeth
What: Taste the best of Jo Daviess County at the annual Garlic Festival! Browse fresh produce, spices and dishes from local businesses that all feature garlic.

LADIES GETAWAY GALENA
When: Friday, September 8th to Sunday, September 10th
Where: locations vary
What: Grab your lady friends and head to Galena for a weekend of shopping, dining, drinking, pampering and much more. The ladies’ weekend is one of Galena’s most popular so be sure to book your accommodations in advance!
