Galena, IL – March 15, 2016 – Executive Chef Carlos Valdez at the luxurious bed and breakfast, Goldmoor Inn, invites foodies into his gourmet kitchen for a series of private culinary lessons beginning March 20.

Small groups of at-home chefs will learn tips Chef Valdez has perfected after years in kitchens from Peru and Florida, to Aspen and the Midwest. Participants enjoy tastes of the dishes he’ll demonstrate, and will take home tips they can use in their own kitchens to replicate the tasty recipes. Classes are scheduled monthly on Sundays from 12 noon – 2 p.m. for guests who choose to extend their weekend through to Monday morning, and area visitors ready to experience the unique property’s charm.

“My grandmother’s Sunday dinners in Peru were an all-day affair and I loved being a part of that,” says Valdez. “Opening up our kitchen at the Goldmoor Inn and inviting others to join in a celebration of good food and conversation is a way to honor her legacy and share my passion for cooking.”

The Goldmoor Inn’s Sunday Cooking Classes cost $59 per person plus tax and gratuity, and include chef instruction, tasting, and a toast.

Named executive chef of The Goldmoor Inn in fall 2015, Chef Carlos Valdez has refined the food and beverage offered, using only all-natural ingredients for his original recipes.
